Your aircraft model designation can be found on the data plate (usually on the left door post) or in your aircraft logbooks. Not sure which fits? Contact us and we'll confirm the right fit before you order.

1

Locate the auto gear extension pitot tube

The auto gear extension system pitot tube is typically located on the underside of the wing, separate from the primary pitot tube. Consult your aircraft's POH or maintenance manual for the exact location on your model.

2

Slide the cover onto the pitot tube

Align the cover opening with the pitot tube and slide it on until it seats firmly. The friction fit should hold the cover securely without needing fasteners or adhesive.

3

Verify fit and add to preflight checklist

Confirm the cover is snug and does not wobble. Add removal of this cover to your preflight checklist — it must be removed before flight. Leaving the cover on will prevent the auto gear extension system from sensing airspeed correctly.

4

Remove before flight

During preflight, remove the pitot cover and stow it securely in the aircraft. Verify both the primary pitot cover and the auto gear extension pitot cover have been removed before departure.
