1

Install after shutdown

Slide the cover snugly over the pitot tube after engine shutdown. Allow the pitot tube to cool before installing if the heating element was on. The RBF streamer should hang visibly and trail in the direction of any wind.

2

Verify on preflight

The high-visibility color and RBF streamer are designed to be seen during your walkaround. Make pitot cover removal part of your preflight checklist — confirm cover is off and pitot tube opening is clear before every flight.

3

Remove before flight

Pull the cover straight off the pitot tube before engine start. Stow it in your flight bag, map pocket, or attached to your keys — the keychain loop makes it easy to keep track of.

4

Care and storage

Rinse with fresh water if exposed to salt air. PETG is durable and heat resistant, but avoid leaving the cover on in direct sunlight for extended periods. Replace if the cover no longer fits snugly.
